Commander Erwin sat at his desk, brows furrowed in concentration as he began to work through the large stack of papers before him. Sighing heavily, he massaged his temples with the tips of his long fingers. You thought he looked so tired. You hated to see him that way.
He glanced up as you entered the room and his face broke into an affectionate smile. You padded over to him, and he lifted you in his strong arms and placed you on his lap, holding you close. You snuggled against his warm body, closing your [e/c] eyes contentedly as his fingers ran lightly over your neck and back, trailing through your hair.
You work too much, Erwin.
“I swear I’d go insane without you here, [Name],” he said. “Keep me company until I’ve finished?”
Of course.
You rose from his lap so he could return to his work and made your way to the soft leather couch at the far end of his office. You sat down and closed your eyes once again, yawning widely. So tired, you thought. You heard him laugh softly as you fell asleep almost instantly.
When you awoke, you noticed something wasn’t quite right. Erwin was no longer seated behind his desk, and someone was on the couch beside you. With wide eyes, you took in the man with the dark hair and cold gaze. Levi?
“Sleep well?” he asked, watching you curiously.
You yawned in response and stretched. You thought you noticed the hard line of his mouth lift upward in a slight smile as you did so. So, he does smile.
“Erwin got called in to a meeting. He didn’t want to disturb you, so he asked that I bring you some food. Hungry?”
Very much so.
You ate slowly, aware of the cool blue-grey stare that remained on you the whole time. You ignored him, deciding to instead concentrate on the food on your plate. It wasn’t particularly exciting, but you ate it anyway to make Erwin happy. You wondered absently when he would return. You missed him.
When you had finished, you returned to your place on the couch, determined to wait until the beautiful blonde man returned. Curiously, Levi stayed too.
“Erwin cares for you very much, [Name],” he said, his eyes downcast. “I couldn’t understand it at first, but I see now.” He looked up at you and ran his thin fingers gently through your hair. “You make him happy. That's not easy to do these days.” He sighed and dropped his hand.
You’re lonely, aren’t you Levi?
You surprised him by shifting closer to him on the couch, curling up against his side. You could feel the warmth of his body radiating outward, enveloping you. You began to feel drowsy again, and before long, you were sleep once more.
The next morning, Erwin and Levi were preparing to leave. This happened often, though it never got any easier. Erwin always returned, tired and sore, but alive. Nevertheless, there was always a fear, deep down, that one day he might not make it, and you would be left alone. And Levi… You knew he was perfectly capable of protecting himself, but that did not stop you worrying.
They said their goodbyes, Erwin’s long and sweet, filled with soft caresses and a whispered promise to return, Levi’s a rough but no less sweet embrace. You watched them go, wishing you could follow, wishing you could stand by their sides, keep them safe. But you couldn’t.
You were only a cat after all.

Together Forever? Jean x Reader pt.1
You were there.
Always there with him.
From the very beginning, you were always smiling beside him. Always helping him when he looked like he was in trouble. And no matter what happened.
You were always there to comfort him.
Years later, both of you had joined the Survey Corps together to contribute to humanity. As you two were standing beside each other, the commanding officer had walked around in the rows, screaming at other soldiers. You flinched when you heard him yelling in front of Jean's face, looking straight as you watched him ignore you. You then watched him go to the guy next to you, yelling at him for having too many freckles.
